Salisbury: Robert Singletary Arrested Wednesday on N. Arlington Street for Allegedly Possessing “Brass Knuckles” and Assaulting a Female

♦ According to Salisbury Police sources Robert Maurice Singletary, 25, a convicted felon and probation absconder living on the streets of Salisbury, was arrested Wednesday at 17 N. Arlington Street.  Recognized by officers, Singletary was stopped and searched.  His pockets allegedly concealed a set of brass knuckles.  Shortly Singletary got handcuffed and placed in the rear of SPD patrol car.  Allegedly women and the elderly, carrying groceries and handbags in the city’s parking lots, ought to breathe a little easier knowing he’s off the streets…for now.

Robert Maurice Singletary:

Singletary was charged with financial transaction card takes/obtains (felony), breaking and entering a vehicle–rr cars other motor vehicles (felony), larceny (misdemeanor), assault on a female by a male over 18 years of age (misdemeanor), obtaining property by false pretenses (felony), and carrying concealed weapons (misdemeanor).

Under a secured $120,000 bond, Singletary is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.
