♦ Throughout the week gunfire was reported across Salisbury.  Salisbury Police sources report that on Wednesday Frances Burris Glenn, 70, was a victim of an all other shooting into an occupied property at 208 Lloyd Street.  A call to 911 dispatch arrived at 3:08 p.m.

Multiple shots were heard in the area at the time of the shooting.  A handgun was employed by an unknown shooter.  Both a window and an exterior wall were damaged (value set at $50 each).  Mercifully no injuries were reported.  We can only imagine what the occupants felt like being in that home.  The exterior walls of the home were vinyl sided just like the home where youngster A’Yanna Allen died of gunshot wounds.  Lloyd Street has its share of shootings in a city under siege.

208 Lloyd Street, Salisbury, N.C.:

**The RFP has received requests to prepare safety tips to make homes and apartments safer against stray and not so stray bullets. Buy or rent a brick or stone home. If you haven’t, consider steel siding and if you dwell in a section of Salisbury where shootings are chronic, consider buying or making sandbags. Have steel shutters on your windows. Good luck.**
