♦The following video snip from the December 2, 2013 public comment of the Rowan County Commissioners’ meeting features local attorney, and candidate for District Court Judge, Todd Paris, requesting the referral of his client’s copier investigation to “an outside entity”. In hindsight we wonder whether Mr. Paris really wanted what he asked for in this video.
How did a simple censure resolution otherwise get parleyed into a full scale SBI investigation for possible charges for Embezzlement of Property by Virtue of Public Office? It’s said that a potential charge of government larceny is a class H felony, possibly bringing up to 39 months in a state prison.
