♦The Board of Education just ended their closed-session meeting this morning. They have told their attorney to continue conversations with the county commissioners with the aim of finally resolving mediation. According to school board sources their attorney should be contacting the county attorney’s tomorrow.
This past Monday the county commissioners voted to offer the Rowan-Salisbury Schools $6.5 Million dollars to construct a Central Office at 504 N. Main Street in Salisbury on the site of a former flower shop.
School Board sources, although they can’t comment on closed-sessions, felt this mornings meeting was positive and they are hopeful about continued dialogue with the county commissioners.
