♦ According to Salisbury Police sources Antwond Montairo Glenn, 19, of Salisbury was arrested early Friday morning at 1035 Lincolnton Road for an alleged armed robbery at 100 E. 11th Street near N. Main back on August 22, 2016. At that time Jaylon Wimbley, of Oakhurst Drive was held up at gunpoint for $20.
Glenn is charged with robbery with firearms or other dangerous weapons (felony). Under a secured $50,000 bond, He is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.

Salisbury Police sources reported that Jaylon Armon Wimbley, 17, of the 400 block of Best Street in Salisbury, was held up at gunpoint in a parking lot at the 100 block of East 11th Street and North Main Street on Sunday at 10:20 p.m. Facing a handgun, Wimbley gave up $20 to the robbers who knew the victim. During the robbery Wimbley reportedly suffered severe lacerations.

♦ According to Rowan Sheriff’s Office sources Kenneth Russell Anthony, 40, a registered sex offender living at 155 Winterlocken Drive in Salisbury, was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman at his home. The woman allegedly escaped long enough to make a call to 911 dispatch which brought deputies to the home just after midnight. Anthony was arrested and charged with assault on a female (misdemeanor), communicating threats (misdemeanor), sexual offense (first degree) (force) (felony), and interfering with emergency communication (felony).
Under a secured $500,000 bond, Anthony is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.
A registered sex offender, Anthony was convicted of attempted rape (second degree) and sex offense (second degree) in 1999.
