♦ Sources in the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report that Tapia Perea was the victim of a robbery–firearm Sunday morning March 26th in the 300 block of Leach Road in Salisbury. Perea was surprised behind a building by a stranger with a handgun at around 11:49 a.m. across from the Webb Road Flea Market. The robber snatched $300 from his victim and left in gray Chrysler 300. No description of robber was provided. Mr. Perea sustained no injuries.
This case remains under investigation. No suspects have yet been announced.
