Salisbury: Brian Tajuante Kesler Arrested Friday Morning for an Alleged Strong Arm Robbery at Super Speedwash Laundromat on Avalon Drive

♦  Salisbury Police sources report that Richard Tajuante Kesler, 18, of 1523 N. Main Street, Salisbury, was arrested early Friday morning for an alleged common law robbery in the parking lot of Super Speedwash Laundromat at 124 Avalon Drive in Salisbury.  A 2nd suspect in the robbery is pending.  Police were alerted about the robbery by victim Richard Miller, 45, of the streets of Salisbury when he flagged an officer down by the Verizon Wireless store nearby.

Allegedly Kesler and an unnamed suspect, who were kicking coin operated machines,  got into a physical altercation inside the laundromat with two men Richard Miller and Timothy Fisher, 43, of the streets of Salisbury, that graduated to the parking lot.  Kesler and the other suspect allegedly threatened Miller and Fisher with a handgun which was never displayed and allegedly muscled a backpack and its contents off the victims.  The total take of the robbery were a backpack (valued at $50), a vehicle headlamp (valued at $20), and Trie Shine Cleaner (Valued at $10).  Roughed up during the scuffle, Miller and Fisher escaped injury.

When Kesler was apprehended minutes later at 207 Faith Rd. where he failed to cooperate with officers and answer their questions about his co-suspect.

Kesler was charged with common law robbery (felony). Under a secured $20,000 bond, he is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.
