Salisbury, NC (January 9, 2014)—Whether you’re making resolutions or hoping to boost your resume, look no further than Learn4Life, a new program offered through Rowan Public Library that makes it easy for you to take high-quality, noncredit online courses no matter where you are located. Through a partnership with Learn4Life, Rowan Public Library now offers hundreds of courses on just about every topic—all free with your library card.
You’ll have the flexibility to study at your own pace combined with enough structure and support to complete the course. The courses can be accessed 24/7 from anywhere with an Internet connection. Week online course start monthly, with two lessons released weekly (for a total of 12). Each course includes comprehensive lessons, quizzes, assignments, and a discussion area. Dedicated instructors facilitate every course; pacing learners, answering questions, giving feedback, and facilitating discussions.
With more than 300 courses available and new courses being introduced monthly, there’s something for everyone. Popular course titles include: Creating Web Pages, Accounting Fundamentals, Grant Writing, Medical Terminology, and Real Estate Investing. There are also a number of computer application courses available including Microsoft Word, Adobe Photoshop, QuickBooks, and more.
