Salisbury: Burglars Hit Habitat for Humanity Site Monday on N. Church St. // Burglars Grab $1,700 in Tools from Construction Site on Statesville Blvd.

♦ The burglars and breaking and entry fellows were out in full force this week looting houses, buildings, and vehicles all hours of the day.  What follows here is a small taste from a larger pool of Salisbury crime.

According to Salisbury Police sources the Habitat for Humanity construction site at 1233 N. Church Street was the victim of a burglary–forcible entry Monday at 8:17 a.m.  Ripped off from the site were 3 storage bins (valued at $20 each), 20 hammers (valued at $200), miscellaneous items (valued at $25), nails (valued at $118) and a tool belt (Valued at $30).  Value of all items $418.  Plus $20 for a damaged door.

This crime is under further investigation.

♦ Sources in the Salisbury Police report that William Hylton living at 1631 Statesville Blvd was a victim of burglary–forcible entry. The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 12:04 p.m. Entry was through a forced window. Stolen were assorted tools valued at $500, power drills valued at $700, nail gun valued at $200, and a sink valued at $300. The entry window was damaged, valued at $150.

No suspects are yet named or no arrests were made.
