♦ According to Salisbury Police sources and the Salisbury-Rowan Crime Stoppers Facebook site, a yet to be identified man was the victim of a strong arm robbery at the Lakewood Apartment Homes on Lakewood Drive in Salisbury. It was alleged the man was stripped of his clothing, beaten, and robbed by three men who lured him to an apartment on the pretense of a party. The victim informed police officers he owed the men money.
The police were summoned to the apartment complex in the early afternoon on a call to 911 dispatch about a potential hostage situation. Soon the police were joined by Rowan County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the N.C. Highway Patrol. They found the victim in the Lakewood Apartment Homes Manager’s Office where he described being punched, stripped, and robbed.
No suspects in this ongoing case were apprehended so far.
