♦ I attended a very informative session on the planned 2018 launch of the FREE Essie Mae Kiser Foxx charter school this morning. I appreciate being able to address the Board of Directors, potential business partners and interested supporters in attendance. I’m proud of the perseverance and unyielding determination the Board showed to win unanimous approval to move forward to securing State Board approval in June.

The proposed open date for this FREE charter school in East Spencer is set for August 27, 2018. My hat is off to Kenneth Lydell Muhammad El and the entire Foxx family for continuing to push this vision through to better serve the community.
