Salisbury: Burglary Monday on 1st Street. Tools and Vases Valued at $2,814 Ripped-Off // Forcible Entry Monday on Neel Road Nets $745 in Tech Items

♦ While gunfire and sirens were heard all over Salisbury on several consecutive nights, less violent crime, such a break-ins, car burglaries, and stealing plastic furniture off of folks’ porches continues to plague a city in rigor mortis.  The Fibrant debacle goes unchecked, financially bleeding out the city.  People pray for any kind of state and federal intervention.  More bodies are being shoveled into pauper’s graves as the result of China White overdoses.  An elderly vagrant lays in an alleyway pleading for medical attention and no one answers.  Yesterday’s children are dying of gunshot wounds and drugs before they reach adulthood. The Bury is in trouble.

Salisbury Police sources report that Bradley Taylor, 40, of Meadow Creek Drive in Charlotte, was the victim of a burglary–unlawful entry at 1802 1st Street in Salisbury on Monday.  The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 4:37 p.m.  The burglar walked into house and helped themselves to a Dewalt power saw ($300), a Troy Built chain saw ($369), a Kobalt table power saw ($200), a grinder ($85), air compressors ($360), a Dewalt power saw ($150),  refrigerator trim ($800), drop cord ($150), and 24 vases ($400).  The total losses are estimated at $2,814.

This crime remains under investigation. No arrests yet.

♦ Sources in the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report that Cody Fox, 20, living at 420 Neel Road in Salisbury was the victim of a burglary–forcible entry on Friday. The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 9:51 p.m. Someone forced glass out of a window to gain entry into the house. The burglar(s) stole a TV ($140), 3 Xbox games ($195), and an Xbox X1 Elite game console ($450). The total estimated value of the stolen gaming items is said to be $745. Window damage was set at $100.

No suspects have been arrested.
