Who hasn’t experienced being rapt in a conversation or a movie or had their attention welded to a ball game when they heard popcorn crunching or snap of a chickn’ being consumed by Fido or Fritz?
Once owned a huge gray tabby Igor who forced his way into a neighbor’s back porch on Thanksgiving morning. Old Igor leap-frogged from a worktable to crate to the top of a freezer where a turkey was cooling down. By the time I found the cat he was rolling in ecstasy a few yards from the back porch. The lawn was scattered with aluminum foil and stuffing, the remnants of Igor’s special Thanksgiving. (Steve)
