♦ According to sources in the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office William Arthur Sturgeon, 43, on the Rowan Sheriff’s Office Most Wanted List and a registered sex offender living at 811 Lincolnton Drive in Salisbury, was arrested along with his girlfriend Shannon Consuelia Hill, 32, living at the same address allegedly a short distance from Salisbury High School. The arrest occurred on Friday May 19th at 12:40 p.m.
Sturgeon was charged with resist/delay/obstruct a public officer (misdemeanor), unauthorized use of a motor vehicle (misdemeanor), failure to register as a sex offender (felony), 2 counts of sex offender fail to notify of change of address (felony), and failure to appear/comply (felony). Under a secured $200,000 bond, he is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.
Hill was charged with resist/delay/obstruct a public officer (misdemeanor) and fail to report a sex offender (felony). Under a secured $5,000 bond, she is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.
Rowan County Sheriff’s Office deputies showed up with warrants for Sturgeon’s and Hill’s arrest at 811 Lincolnton Road and searched the home where they found Sturgeon allegedly hiding inside. The house is said to be less than 1,000 yards from Salisbury High School which is a felony for a registered sex offender.
