♦ Salisbury Police sources report that Wesley Maurice Robinson, 32, of the 800 block of S. Fulton Street, was the victim of assault–gun on S. Fulton Street near the intersection of W. McCubbins Street. In an alleged exchange of gunfire, Robinson was struck in arm. The shooting was reported to 911 dispatch at 8:42 p.m. Robinson was transported to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center for treatment. His wound was described as non-life threatening. He was shot by an undetermined handgun. Area residents described the shooting as an drive-by exchange of gunfire. This has not yet been confirmed.

The crime remains under investigation. No motives have been revealed and no suspects named.
