♦ Salisbury Police sources report that Murphy’s Express, on 1010 Freeland Drive, was the victim of embezzlement. Investigators reported that $1,512 in cash was stolen by an employee. The crime was reported to 911 dispatch on Wednesday at 5:22 a.m.
The case remains under further investigation. No suspects have been named.

♦ Sources in the Salisbury Police report that the Speedway (Formerly Wilco-Hess) at 500 E. Innes Street was the victim of “conspiracy to commit larceny by an employee”. $845 in cash was stolen in 12 increments by unnamed employees between May 12th and May 19th. The crime was reported on Thursday May 25th to 911 dispatch at 10:35 a.m.
The crime remains under investigation. At this time no arrests have been made.
