Salisbury: Mitsubishi Monteros SUV Torched Friday Morning on E. 16th Street by N. Main Street

♦  According to Salisbury Police sources Lisa Smith-Torrence, 44, living on Spring Hill Drive in Spencer, was the victim of an “Arson-Motor Vehicle” on Friday morning on the street in the 100 block of E. 16th Street near the intersection N. Main Street in Salisbury.  A stranger set Smith-Torrence’s 2001 Burgundy Mitsubushi Moneteros Sport SUV on fire with gas. The arson was reported to 911 dispatch at 2:24 a.m.  The SUV’s estimated value was not assessed.  No one was injured.

The arson is under further investigation.  At this time no motive for the arson was reported and no arrests have been made.
