♦ According to Salisbury Police sources Adam David Hayes, 17, living at 617 Faith Road in Salisbury, was arrested Thursday around 1 p.m. on the charge of “assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury” for an alleged knife assault on his mother Carol Hayes, 58, also living at 617 Faith Road. The mother allegedly sustained minor injuries from the knifing.
Under a secured $2,000 bond, Adam Hayes remains in the Rowan County Detention Center.

♦ Sources in the Salisbury Police report that Justin Luke McClary, 27, dwelling at 518 Elm Street was the victim of an “assault-gun” on the street at 518 Elm street when a stranger threatened him with a handgun. The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 10:44 a.m. and brought the police into the area.
No description of the suspect was provided yet.
