♦ Like its county seat Salisbury, Rowan County is plagued by car thieves and a major heroin, meth, crack, and opioid epidemic. Rowan County Sheriff’s Office sources report that Amanda Kaye Hall, 35, was arrested Wednesday at 6:36 p.m. after Sheriff’s deputies approached a vehicle in a parking lot at 8545 U.S. 52 Hwy in Rockwell that Hall was allegedly driving.
After searching Hall’s person and the vehicle and running the vehicle’s tag, the deputies placed her in custody and charged her with possession of a stolen vehicle (felony) and possession of controlled substance II (felony). Under a secured $10,000 bond, Hall is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.
