♦ Salisbury Police Department sources report Moose Pharmacy at 1408 W. Innes Street was the victim of an armed break-in Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. The robber, alleged to be Shawn Everett Hager, 35, of Main Street in Faith, was armed with a .22 caliber rifle and shot out the left side glass panel of the pharmacy’s front door.

The Salisbury Police responded quickly to the break-in and found an able witness almost immediately. Moose’s Pharmacy was closed at the time of the incident. No one was reported injured during the robbery. The robber fled the area in a green minivan.
Hager allegedly stole 17 Moose Pharmacy bags containing prescription drugs, 10 vapor inhalers, vitamin supplements, and socks. The total value of the items stolen was estimated at $1,006.05 dollars.
The suspect Hager was arrested later this morning when he and his license plate were identified by a witness who heard multiple shots being fired into the pharmacy.
Hager was charged with injury to real property, discharging a firearm within the city limits, breaking and entering, and larceny after breaking and entering. Under a secured $10,000 bond, Hager is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.
The case remains under intensive investigation.
