According to Salisbury Police sources report that Brian Keith White, 46, of E. Cemetery Street in Salisbury and Timothy Jermaine Chawlk, 38, of Walton Road in Salisbury, were arrested allegedly for armed robbery, kidnapping, and assaulting with a gun on Wednesday morning. The pair went to the home of Bradley Wallace, 30, of 201 N. Martin Luther King, Jr., Avenue in Salisbury and pulled a gun on him, demanding he drive them to the State Credit Union ATM in the lot at the Rowan County Health Department at 1811 E. Innes Street in Salisbury.
Forcing someone to drive somewhere or confining them against their will is kidnapping. Wallace was allegedly forced to withdraw $497 from his account and sustained minor injuries when he was struck in the head with a pistol. The alleged robbers forced Wallace to drive back to his home on N. Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue. Once there, Wallace and his woman friend Alibira Kerns, 43, fled the home. Wallace went straight to the magistrate’s office and described White and Chawlk. The two were arrested a short time later and are now in the Rowan County Detention Center.
