The Salisbury Police Department reaffirms their Curfew Ordinance for juveniles under the age of 16 not accompanied by a parent or appointed guardian. This is an important ordinance especially in the light of juvenile crime and young people on the streets late at night. It is unlawful for juveniles under the age of 16 who are not accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in public places between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. Monday through Thursday or from Midnight to 6 a.m. Friday through Saturday. Exceptions include youth traveling to and from school, religious, and civic sponsored events.
