During all elections one of the most revealing clues about who candidates are actually looking out for is their contributor lists at their fundraisers. With several fundraisers coming up in Rowan County, let’s pay close attention to see where the candidates true allegiances reside and where certain votes go the way they do on the Rowan County Commission. Are some of the incumbent’s votes going to help out the Rowan County Taxpayer or are they voting for the betterment of Salisbury Downtown real estate and banking special interests?
Example, Greg Edds has his fundraiser at the City Tavern very soon. In the interest of “sunshine and transparency” we’ll repost who contributes to further their influence on this one and does it include the two other incumbents. That information must be filed by April 30th, a full week before the primary and plenty of time to see who’s supporting Greg Edds and his two guaranteed yes votes incumbents.
It’s already obvious from the recent placement of yard signs who is really happy with their results of focusing on Downtown Salisbury real estate and banking special interests instead of the entire county.
Maybe we can finally find out who the vote to close all leases at West End Plaza was really done for? It sure wasn’t the County Taxpayers. May we can find out why the “fake it until you make it” dual charades GroRoCo and the Rowan Idea Center were plopped at the West End Plaza for FREE .
We’ll grab the list of contributors before the election and you can decide if you want to continue to vote for people working against the taxpayers interests. Maybe even give them a piece of your mind.
