Salisbury gas station convenience stores, like Rushco, Pop Shoppe, Speedway, Sheetz, and others, continue to be hammered by armed robbers, burglars, counterfeiters, and from within by embezzlers. Their lots are frequently in habited strong arm bandits and drug traffickers. And more recently they’re the last port of call for people passing out of this world from a fentanyl-laced heroin overdoses.
According to Salisbury Police sources Larry Jay Fairbank, 28, of 165 Drew Circle in Salisbury was arrested for allegedly embezzling $658 worth lottery tickets from his employer the Speedway convenience store on 3410 S. Main Street in Salisbury. His alleged total pilferage of lottery tickets spanned two occasions and was reported to 911 dispatch on Wednesday the 14th. This past Thursday Fairbank was arrested by Salisbury Police Officers at 165 Drew Circle in Salisbury and charged with larceny by servants and other employees (felony). Fairbank with briefly being held in the Rowan County Detention before bonding out.
