According to Rowan County Sheriff’s Office sources the death of Melanie Anita Clark, 62, living at 345 Dulin Avenue near Mt. Hope Church Road in Salisbury, has moved from “death by cardiac arrest” to a homicide since Rowan County Sheriff’s deputies were called by 911 dispatch to assist fire and emergency services personnel at Clark’s home on Monday at 11:18 p.m. Deputies quickly determined that Clark showed no signs of breathing or consciousness. Emergency personnel confirmed that Clark had expired.

It was reported that Clark was last seen alive on Saturday in this quiet neighborhood.
Sheriff’s Office investigators could be seen going and coming from the house Monday and early Tuesday morning. Crime Scene tape was stretched around the front of the home.
