♦ Why if other candidates for office are asked to step down or step aside for legal issues, why isn’t Greg Brannon stepping down? I am not suggesting that Brannon committed a crime, but his judgment is surely in question. I ask you, if a man is innocent until found guilty, why then is not the same man guilty (not my judgment, but that of a jury of twelve) until found innocent?
It will be difficult enough for any conservative candidate to overcome Speaker Tillis and his war chest. Having a damaged candidate splitting the vote with a conservative who might otherwise have a chance seems self destructive.
