♦ Rowan County Sheriff’s Office’s Special Operations Unit (SIU) responded to area complaints on Wednesday and raided an alleged Salisbury gambling house at 160 Hader Streets for illegal gambling. The Special Operations Unit, operating with a warrant, arrested Lawrence Joseph Beauchamp, IV,40, of China Grove. Mr. Beauchamp was charged with operating a game of chance and was in possession of numbers tickets.
Back on May 10th, 2010 Beauchamp was arrested at 165 Hader Street across the street from his current arrest. The Sheriff’s Office deputies seized $5,000 and numerous numbers tickets and ticket boards. At the time Mr. Beauchamp pled guilty to operating a lottery.
