♦ Two weeks ago my friend Tom Harrell, a veteran of the Burma, China, India theater of World War II and I visited Richard’s Coffee Shop and Living Military Museum in Mooresville, NC. Every Thursday Richard’s Coffee Shop comes alive with veterans from World War II, the Korean War, the War in Vietnam and the more recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. As friendly a band of brothers as you’d ever want to meet are gathered in Richard’s. If anyone was in search of stories about men coming together in friendship and sharing a common bond of war, Richard’s Coffee Shop would be a prime stop.
If you want get to know Richard’s Coffee Shop history, the story of its Living Military Museum or go on a virtual tour of the museum and coffee shop, you can accomplish this by visiting their very well constructed website. The site is brimming with articles and photos. We recommend this as a must visit for any vet.
