♦ The W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury will host an educational fair on Tuesday, April 15 from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. in the Building 6 Social Room.
The focus of the education fair will be our Veterans, retired military, family members, and VA staff. Information on all VA education benefits will be available. The purpose of the event is to inform Veterans and family members of educational opportunities available to them in the community and online, where they can use their GI benefits for education that will assist in acquiring new skills, and will prepare them for the future changing job market.
Representatives from area colleges and universities, and universities that offer online courses will be present. In addition to NC State University, other participants include Catawba College, Livingstone College, Winston Salem State University, Greensboro College, Fort Hayes University, Grand Canyon University, DeVry University, East Carolina University, and many more.
Those interested in pursuing a degree/career, changing careers, or going into the health care field are encouraged to attend.
