♦ A flapjack breakfast and memorial ride will be held for Marcus “Marco” Kauffman on April 26. Event coordinators are still seeking volunteers for the breakfast and memorial ride. A volunteer meeting will be held on Saturday, April 19, at Golden Corral in Statesville at 3 p.m. They will discuss volunteer duties, sign release forms, and go over ride staging and event process for Salisbury Mall.
“Marco” Kauffman passed away after being shot during a robbery at his Rowan County home. His wife in February gave birth to Marcus Landon Trace.
Many area motorcycle and car clubs as well as police and fire departments plan to join in in the memorial ride.
