“La Resistance”, an extremist front org for Downtown Salisbury ONLY, is about to make their support known in the upcoming county commission primary. Group insiders maintain they will support ultra lib Judy Klusman, Johnny Love, and Jim Greene in the upcoming primary. In the fall they will throw 2 of the 3 supported candidates under the bus and support unaffiliated Raymond Coltrain and Gene Miller along with whoever is their top vote getter. Coltrain and Miller have so far failed to obtain the signatures required to get on the fall ballot.
Apparently “La Resistance” had negligible impact on getting Rowan Democrats to switch to unaffiliated. Only 300 changed and some of those are conservative Democrats who will support Jim Sides and Joe Coladarci.
A county-wide independent phone poll completed on April 8th currently has Jim Sides and Joe Coladarci as front runners with a solid margin over Brandon Cupp and Judy Klusman. The remainder of the candidates trail far behind.
