♦ The Cabarrus County bomb squad was called to the “Beggars Bazaar” on North Lee Street in Salisbury, N.C. after someone in the store found a grenade in a box.
Salisbury Police immediately evacuated neighboring businesses due to the threat. The bomb squad placed the grenade, with the pin still in it, in a protective container and took the grenade out to their range where it could be detonated.
