♦ With well over a thousand homes currently being shown by realtors throughout the City of Salisbury alone during the “great housing stampede”, sellers were warned today about a present trending danger. Luckily law enforcement closed the gap this evening and caught up with “Mr. Cooper”. Here is the important missive:

Dear Members,
Please be aware that one of our Realtor members was assaulted while showing a house today. The police are actively looking for the suspect.
He goes by the name of Brian Cooper, and sounds like a legitimate buyer. His story is that his brother is a deputy sheriff, and that a person (who is deceased) has given him money to purchase a house.
Please know that this person met the agent AT HER OFFICE. Other agents in that office SAW this individual. If you are going to show a house, please let someone know where you are going and who will be with you. If your office has an ALERT CODE, please make sure that everyone is aware of the procedure.
Unfortunately, we can never be too careful and many times think that it won’t happen to us. Please be careful at all times.
Thank you,
