♦ I would like to share an experience I had tonight, Thursday May 15th. I contacted two of the candidates in the running for Rowan County Commissioner. Mr. Gene Miller was one of them. I had some questions and he promptly answered me very kindly which I appreciated. You can see my questions and his response at this link:

On the other hand, the other candidate I contacted with the very same questions kept deleting my question. She then blocked me from her personal facebook page. Then she fixed it so I could NOT comment on her page for her candidacy. I don’t know what to think? This candidate was none other then Mrs. Judy Klusman. Why? I had legitimate questions. I was not rude. I thanked her in advance for her response. Is this the kind of treatment we can expect here in the county from Mrs. Klusman? No, I did not vote for Mrs. Klusman, but I am a Rowan County resident and IF by some slim chance she should happen to win, is this the way we will be treated? If I have a question for our sitting commissioners (and I always do) they ALWAYS answer me. It may not be the answer I want to hear, but they answer me. That is the point.
We know so little about Mrs. Klusman. Just like Barack Obama, it’s like she just appeared out of thin air. But she is a candidate and should answer to ALL of Rowan County. I would share that link, but she has once again deleted it. WHY? I think that was just rude of her NOT to answer and to delete my questions.
I recently learned that Mr. Mac Butner a true conservative and a southern gentleman is gathering signatures to run for county commissioner. Like Mr. Miller, he will not duck questions. Mac knows county government inside and out. I am looking forward to signing his petition!
