♦ Our Editor Steve Mensing walked into city hall this morning with a fistful of Freedom of Information Act inquiries. More will be rolling in as the Rowan Free Press steps up its ongoing investigation into City Hall’s cover-up of the “mutual termination” of city manager Doug Paris and the “resignation” of Public Information Officer Elaney Hasselmann. Added to the inquiries delivered, was one from a private citizen concerning Police Chief Rory Collins’s expense account.
Steve reports that city hall staff was quite courteous and helpful in receiving the Freedom of Information Act inquiries. He also noted a ceramic bust of Napoleon on a shelf over a long boardroom style table which brought an immediate smile.
