♦ Chick-N-Ale closed in struggling Downtown Salisbury, N.C. Occupying the spot Uncle Bucks left behind on East Innes, Chick-N-Ale just opened its doors at the end of September.
On Tuesday morning a cardboard “closed” sign was taped to the glass front door at Chick-N-Ale. Someone answered the listed phone and said the restaurant will not be reopening. Neighbors earlier told the Rowan Free Press they believe the Chick-N-Ale was closed for good.
Sources close to the owner said there was not enough customers coming through the doors nor was there room for a drive-through. The Chick-N-Ale might be among the fastest restaurant closings in Downtown Salisbury history. The restaurant appeared to be doing well enough and many people enjoyed their chicken recipes.
