Jonathan Morris, U.S. Army Ranger Ret. and Rowan County Sheep Baron
♦Lord at this Christmas time I humbly come before you and pray for our Brothers and Sisters in Salisbury and Rowan County who have fallen on hard times.
I pray for the continued wisdom of our County Commissioners in the coming year so they can build upon their many God-inspired successes. Let them pray again in Your Name.
I pray for our County’s unemployed so they will soon be hired and end their families economic pain.
Lord hear my prayer for the Rowan-Salisbury Schools and their inspiring new leader Lynn Moody to lead this fallen school system and to build a Central Office on good earth and give the children of Woodlief and Cleveland a new school.
I pray that your hand will lift up Salisbury and its Main Street fallen on desperate times. Let the city council and its city manager soften their hearts and consider their Brothers and Sisters dwelling outside the Downtown area. Guide Salisbury’s leaders to speak only the truth and begin to find ways to conquer Salisbury’s fall from grace and loss of your abundance.
Lord hear my prayer for the victims of crime and violence in Salisbury and for the healing of their families. I beseech thee to turn the hardened hearts of those wrong doers and mend them so that they may lead commendable lives. Take back the night in Salisbury and make its streets safe like they once were several decades ago.
Bring joy to every child’s heart this Christmas time and let the hungry and homeless be fed.
Bring Peace on Earth and good will to all.
I ask these things in my Lord and Saviour Jesus’ Name.
Amen.
