♦ A noticeable spike in home, commercial building, and vehicle arsons in 2016.  Are persons setting structures and vehicles on fire for revenge, to strike back at love gone sour, or to score on insurance?  Or are these run on arsons a way to get rid of a Salisbury home or building owners can’t unload and the insurance payout looks far better?

Salisbury Police Department sources report that on Tuesday December 27th the fire at 617 Reynolds Street on December 16th was designated an arson by fire investigators.  No motive for the arson has been put forward at this time.  A burning tool/device is reported to have started the fire on an exterior wall.  Damage to the exterior wall materials was estimated at $250.  Mercifully no one was reported injured.
