Salisbury: Dustin Hinson Arrested on Statesville Blvd. Thursday for an Alleged Armed Robbery Last Sunday. Douglas Patrick Arrested Friday

♦ Updated: Friday morning Douglas Martin Patrick, 19, of Granite Quarry, was arrested by U.S. Marshals and is now in the Rowan County Detention Center under a secured $500,000 bond. He was alleged to be the trigger man in the shooting of Christopher Cruse.

According to Rowan County Sheriff’s Office sources Dustin Ray Hinson, 26, of China Grove, was arrested Thursday around 11 p.m. in a vehicle stop at 2089 Statesville Boulevard in Salisbury for an alleged home invasion at 5595 Old Concord Road around 7 p.m. Sunday. He and Douglas Martin Patrick, 19, allegedly robbed Kristopher Cruse, 23, of $600 and shot him with a rifle in the upper leg.  He was transported to the hospital.  His wound is not life threatening. Cruse was acquainted with Hinson and Patrick.

Also arrested in the vehicle stop were Haley Nicole Dial, 24, of Salisbury and Samuel Tyler Yost, 19, of Rowan County. The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office received tips that Hinson, Dial, and Yost may be traveling in the vicinity of the West End Plaza.

Dial was charged with probation violation (misdemeanor) and possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor). Under no bond, Dial is on hold as an absconder in the Rowan County Detention Center.

Yost was charged with probation violation (felony). Under a secured $2,500 bond, Yost is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.

Hinson is charged with robbery with firearms or other dangerous weapons (felony), assault by pointing a gun (misdemeanor), assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury (felony), burglary (first degree) (felony) and failure to appear/comply (misdemeanor). Under a secured $102,000 bond, Hinson is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.
