♦ Salisbury Police sources report that Shawnta O’Neil Tracey, 45, living at 1213 Old Plank Road in Salisbury, was the victim of “robbery-firearm” and “assault-gun” at his home early Wednesday morning. Tracey suffered major injuries and was transported to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. The extent of his injuries are not known at this time or if he was transferred to another facility. A rifle was used in the commission of the robbery. The shooter was unknown to Tracey. Residents report several men were involved in the robbery, but that has not been officially confirmed. The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 12:39 a.m.

Salisbury Police secured the crime scene and gathered shell casing evidence. (The manifest is posted below):
The shooting is under further investigation. No suspects have been arrested.
